Northwestern students, faculty, and staff can use their time and skills to support our local K–8 schools.
About the partnership
The Northwestern/D65 Partnership connects Northwestern students with meaningful opportunities to contribute to Evanston/Skokie School District 65 while learning alongside educators, staff, students, and community members. Through projects in areas such as data analysis, communications, research, event support, technology, and program coordination, students help advance priorities identified by the district and strengthen its capacity to serve local families.
These experiences also give Northwestern undergraduate and graduate students the chance to apply their knowledge in a complex public-serving organization, build practical and transferable skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the Evanston community beyond the university. This hub brings together the many pathways through which students can participate, making it easier to find opportunities that align with district needs, student interests, and academic or professional goals.
